Founders Theatre

The Founders Memorial Theatre is Hamilton’s largest and best known theatrical venue with a capacity of 1,250. Opened in 1960, the Founders is one of the best-known and most successful venues in New Zealand. Located on the triangular corner of Tristram Street and Norton Road, the Founders hosts a wide range of entertainment each year ranging from rock to symphony, country to comedy and ballads to ballet. In attractive park-like surroundings, and with full catering services, the Founders also houses a Rehearsal Room and excellent backstage facilities.
