16 Hamilton bands will be competing for the chance to win the grand prize package worth over $5000 including:

• Your single recorded and mixed over three days at Dudley Studios
• 500 CD Pressings courtesy of Amstore
• A paid gig at the University of Waikato O-Week 2009 thanks to the Waikato Students Union
• CD distribution thanks to Border Music and Mole Music

A second place prize of 200 CD pressings from Amstore and a CD distribution from Border Music and Mole Music will also be up for grabs!

The 2008 Band Experiments will be hosted at Flow (Formerly Catalyst/Sabbath) located at 266 Victoria St. Four heats will see 4 acts playing a maximum of 30 minute sets each with the winner of each heat (announced on the night by a panel of judges) competing in the Final along with a wild-card 'peoples choice' entry, as voted on mammothguide.co.nz.
