Opshop hit Founders Theatre on Friday 11th of July as part of their BIG ENERGY IN A CAN THEATRE TOUR, performing songs from their multi-platinum selling albums in the unique theatre environment.

The band has enjoyed amazing success since bursting onto the scene with their platinum debut album “You Are Here”. Their follow up album has gone one step further, with “Second Hand Planet” recently reaching double platinum status and about to celebrate a one year stay on the New Zealand music charts. With “Maybe” being the most played song ever in the history of New Zealand radio, and the recent hit “One Day” quickly following in it’s footsteps, Opshop have established themselves as one of New Zealand’s most successful and popular acts. As further proof the band are shaping themselves entirely in the mold of U2, not only sonically but philanthropically as well, the show will have a Telecom Drop Zone for canned food donations which will be donated to the Salvation Army food banks.
