In anticipation of Fur Patrol’s third long player, ‘Local Kid’, now Melbourne based three-piece will be back across the Tasman to play a select few shows in support of the stunning new record. Released on September 22nd, the album features the singles ‘Great Leap Forward’ and ‘Hidden Agenda’.

Throughout their 10 year career they have to date released 2 full length albums, 1999’s PET and 2003’s COLLIDER, and 2 EP’s - on 3 different record labels; two major labels and one fledgling independent. They’ve spent roughly half of their career based in New Zealand and the other half in Australia. They’ve toured throughout the UK and America, shot a music video in Hollywood, received awards and toured Australia and New Zealand more times than most people have had hot dinners.

They’ve had a number 1 single and a platinum selling album. They were a 4 piece and now they’re a 3 piece. Now they have a bunch of new songs to play us, mixed in with the old favourites.

Mammoth has a double pass to the gig at Flow on Friday 29th August to giveaway! To win, just e-mail win@mammothmedia.co.nz with your contact details and tell us the names of the Fur Patrol song that rhymes with ‘Chlymidia’
