Cause for Alliance spent the first nine months of their existence writing, rehearsing and developing a sound and an identity that is more fully-fledged than most bands display in their early years. At their debut gig in April 2007 in Auckland, a considerably more experienced headline band announced on stage that Cause For Alliance’s was the best debut performance they had ever seen.

The band then spent the next three months simultaneously playing shows around the North Island and recording the songs that would make up the .Coalesce EP.

Continuing with their relentless work ethic, the band embarked on a national tour over 5 weeks in July and August 2007. The shows were received extremely well and the Cause For Alliance fan-base grew sizeably - fans were demanding merchandise faster than could be supplied.

Cause for Alliance and Cripple Mr Onion are playing Hamilton on Friday 23rd May at the Yellow Sub.
