Hella originated as a two-piece creating chaotic, technical constructions of noise rock and they’ve finally been able to extend and hone a new sound with a full five-piece line up but still retain their roots.

The previous albums I found a bit jarring to listen to, but with the added layers of vocals and a slight strip-back on the spaz, Hella have constructed an incredibly excellent album filled with great moments and is entirely more accessible to listen to than some of their earlier efforts.

‘World Series’ kicks out the awesome jams and then it’s a blinding medley-medley until the final album-title track seals the deal.
