It’s great to see more music events starting to happen in Hamilton. This fortnight we’ve got a double-dose of goodness with Salmonella Dub and Tiki Taane playing the same night, across the road from each other! No doubt it’s the result of bar competitiveness, but ultimately the humble punter benefits with drink specials and great music.

For issue 5 we’ve decided to exclusively release it via the Internet to inform people about our new website at www.mammothguide.net (and to encourage visitors!). It’s pretty cool; we put a lot of effort into getting it up and running and if you have any queries, comments or questions then please email us at info(a)mammothmedia.co.nz. We’d really like to hear your feedback!

Everything that was in the print guide is now available on our website, including downloadable PDF documents of our print guide. It’s pretty snazzy and hopefully helps fill a gap in Hamilton.

Also of note, Flow is a new live music venue that has just recently opened in Hamilton. It specialises in dub, reggae, roots-styled music and sure to be a hit in ye olde ‘Tron. Also, The Lowdown has returned (another gig guide for Hamilton) and lists Hamilton and Raglan events, arts and other happenings. Hamilton sure is evolving into a bustling metropolis!
