If your a musician you’ve probably faced some shitty realities at some point when trying to think of places to play or how to get people to your shows. Hamilton isn’t exactly musician friendly at times. While many musicians are quick to moan about their predicaments and barriers to succeeding, few are prepared to back this up with proactive solutions.

After a series of discussions between members of the music community, a new initiative to sustain Hamiltons live music scene (and to ensure Mammoth can stay full of material every fortnight…) has begun. The Hamilton Live Music Trust has been set up to support, develop and advocate for the music scene in Hamilton after the suggestion from the music community as a way of opening some doors that individuals have not been able to open. Hopefully with some muster behind it we will start to see some changes that equate to Hamilton again becoming more live entertainment friendly.
