Mammoth is Hamilton’s very own Live Music and Events guide and is presented in a number of ways with opportunities for individuals, groups and businesses to get their message out. Namely, Mammoth offers event listings for music, art, theatre, independent film and any other events within Hamilton (and the greater Waikato region).

Event Listings

Event listings are the lifeblood of Mammoth and we strive to contain a large variety of different events to persuade even the most stubborn curmudgeon that Hamilton has an exciting and entertaining selection of things to do. Mammoth’s core focus is live music and art events but extends to theatre productions, bar events, family events and much more. Event listings can be submitted by clicking the “Submit Event” image up top or by emailing the event’s details to events(a)mammothmedia.co.nz.

Listings for original live music and local art exhibitions are free, however a small fee will apply for other listings. Contact us for more information: ads(a)mammothmedia.co.nz.

Opportunities are also available for further event advertisement through discounted rates for local event promoters, original music performances and artists. We also offer a featured event slot on the front page, which is usually combined with free giveaways within the print guide and a feature article written up about the event. Mammoth Guide

The Mammoth guide is a fortnightly publication with a print run of 2,500 copies and distributed to various cafes, bars, restaurants, shops and public spaces within the central Hamilton CBD and outlying suburbs. It aims to inform and entertain through articles and help generate attention for upcoming events. Regular giveaways and prizes help to entice reader interaction and feedback.

Within the printed issue is the Event Guide, designed to inform the everyday man and woman about exciting events coming up within the two weeks of the publication’s life. Details such as date, time, venue and cost effectively inform the reader and give them the knowledge they need to decide on a great night out in Hamilton.

Mammoth Website

The website is effectively an extension of the printed guide, with the added bonus of dynamic content being presented through an attractive web interface. It archives all the Mammoth issues, articles, events and also provides a handy venue reference so people know where and when to party.
