RSS generally stands for Really Simple Syndication, and an RSS feed is an XML-based file that when linked to in an RSS reader (such as Google Reader), it will notify you of any new updates to that website.
Mammoth has four RSS feeds: one for our events, one for our latest news, one for our issues and one for our podcasts. If you subscribe to the events RSS feed, you’ll get a notification via your RSS reader whenever we add a new event/news post/issue/podcast to our website.
The moral of the story is: RSS feeds allow you to see updates to a website without having to visit that website or having to sign-up to an email list. If there are a lot of websites that you keep track of, using RSS feeds (when available) can really ease your browsing load (and not to mention your monthly internet data limit!).
